Full- time Inspections Requirements
We are seeking construction inspectors for civil, electrical and mechanical projects on several dams and locks along the Snake and Columbia Rivers. These are full time positions, paying competitive wages and full benefits. If you have 3 years of recent construction inspection experience, preferably on U.S. Army Corp of Engineers projects, you are encouraged to apply.
Personnel Responsibilities. Contract personnel shall carry out the general responsibilities outlined below. Contract personnel have no authority to over-ride the terms of a construction project administered by the USACE, direct the construction personnel in their work activities, or to modify or change the construction requirements in any way for projects on which they are providing QA inspection services. The Government Quality Assurance Plans for these contracts are attached as reference documents.
a. Perform daily Quality Assurance Inspections during physical activity at the construction site to check compliance with contract requirements.
b. Monitor the Contractor’s Quality Control System and report on its effectiveness.
c. Monitor the Contractor’s work and report any issues or concerns to the Administrative Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer’s Representative, or Project Engineer responsible for the project.
d. Inspect the Contractor’s Red Line As-Built Drawings for accuracy.
e. Participate in the review of Contractor’s Progress Billings (verification of reported quantity and progress).
f. Monitor the Contractor’s Safety Program and report on its effectiveness.
g. Prepare Daily QA Reports and submit them to the Administrative Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer’s Representative, or Project Engineer responsible for the project. Daily Reports must be completed and submitted on the day the work is performed.
Full-time Dredging Requirements
1-5 years of hopper, pipeline, and/or clamshell dredging required with previous on-site quality assurance or quality control duties along with responsibility for safety.
